Drawing has always been a way of observing and understanding what surrounds him, a habit that began in childhood and that he has never abandoned. He was born in Miramar. Before settling for good in Spain in September 1968, he lived in several European countries that broadened his experience and his way of looking at the world. Throughout his professional life, until his retirement, drawing was a constant tool: something he used to think, to work and also to enjoy.

What always stands out is how naturally he relates to drawing. He does not present it as something extraordinary or as a solemn gesture; for him it is simply part of his everyday life, as it has been all his life. Over time, his way of drawing changed: he moved from depicting what he saw to exploring freer forms, without seeking a particular style or a set intention. He draws only because it interests him, because it keeps him company and because it is part of who he is.

The works gathered on this page show that journey. They are drawings that speak of a life bound to observation, work and curiosity. They need no explanation or interpretation: you only have to look at them to understand that behind them lie years of experience, of craft and of a gaze all his own.

Every piece carries the distinguishing marks by which an artist signs what he has made: the gesture that never repeats, the matter that insists, the fall of light found nowhere else. And there is a moment when the work stops being entirely his — when it reaches the beholder, and the life of the work truly begins.
